Ecclesiastes 5:18-19

29 02 2008

Then I realized that it is good and proper for a man to
eat and drink, and to find satisfaction in his toilsome
labor under the sun during the few days of life God has
given him—for this is his lot.

Moreover, when God gives any man wealth and possessions,
and enables him to enjoy them, to accept his lot and be
happy in his work—this is a gift of God.

But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be
prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you
to give the reason for the hope that you have.
But do this with gentleness and respect

I tell you the truth, anyone who welcomes my messenger
is welcoming me, and anyone who welcomes me is

 Greatness Of God

Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory,
the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens
and on earth is yours, O Lord, and this is your kingdom.
We adore you as the one who is over all things.

Jeremiah 29:11-13

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD,
plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give
you hope and a future.

Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me,
and I will listen to you.

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with
all your heart.

Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear.
If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows
that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.

To keep me from becoming conceited because of these
surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a
thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me.

Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you,
for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my
weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses,
in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties.
For when I am weak, then I am strong.
